JOINT STATEMENT: LAOS - AFTER EIGHT YEARS, CIVIL SOCIETY WORLDWIDE DEMANDS THE GOVERNMENT ESTABLISH AND REVEAL SOMBATH'S FATE AND WHEREABOUTS

On 15 December 2020, Manushya Foundation and other international organizations released a joint statement reiterating their calls on the government of Laos to reveal Sombath Somphone's fate and whereabouts, for the 8th anniversary of his disappearance. They also urged the Lao government to investigate all allegations of enforced disappearances in the country and to bring those responsible to justice in fair trials.
