Take a look at what collective power makes possible. Here are moments from 24 March, when the Ratchada Civil Court ruled in favour of the villagers, holding Thailandโs largest gold mine operator accountable for harms to peopleโs land, water, and bodies.
Close to 50 villagers travelled over six hours from Phichit and Phetchabun provinces to witness this long-awaited verdict. Some who fought for this moment, like PโManit and PโLot, are no longer with us.
Since 2019, when Manushya began defending this case, so many of you have stood with the villagers: from documenting harms on the ground to showing up online and in person in solidarity. This victory wouldnโt have been possible without you, thank you! ๐ค๐ฝ
But the fight for genuine corporate accountability is not over. We will relentlessly exhaust all possible legal and advocacy means to hold ALL corporate and state actors accountable for being complicit in Villagersโ harms.
