Check our ‘SPOTLIGHT-Malaysia’ on the misuse of anti-democratic law, policies and actions by the government of Malaysia that violates digital rights in the name of ‘National Security’.


During the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing lockdown, there has been a rise on hate and unfair treatment directed against migrant workers and refugees in Malaysia, both on the internet and offline. Any criticism of these or any other unfair government actions online has been met with intimidation, investigation and harassment against journalists, activists, opposition politicians and other critics.
