🌏 Across Asia, corporate-related human rights and environmental harms continue to persist. Yet, communities who bear the most harm face great barriers to justice and remedy, especially when companies operate across borders. The UN Legally Binding Instrument (LBI) on Business and Human Rights offers a critical opportunity to strengthen the rules that hold these corporations accountable. But for the treaty to deliver justice, those who bear the harm must shape it.

Together with fellow civil society leaders at ALTSEAN-Burma, ESCR-NET, Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP), FORUM-ASIA, and the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Development, we will explore what the LBI could change for Asia, and how frontline communities can engage more actively in shaping it. ✊
