On 27 April, Manushya Foundation was honoured to join the King’s Day Reception at the invitation of H.E. Remco van Wijngaarden, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Thailand.

Manushya was represented by feminist activists Tanruthai Thanrut, our Admin and Finance Officer, and Jo Badong, our Communications Manager, in this celebration of togetherness and connection.

As decolonial and intersectional feminists, our work challenging repression across borders and the shrinking of civic space does not always make us popular. Often, it makes us visible to the very forces that benefit from silence, fear, and impunity. That is why principled diplomatic solidarity matters: it helps keep movements visible, protected, and connected.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Dutch Embassy in Thailand for the invitation and its continued support for human rights movements. In 2024, the Embassy also honoured Manushya Foundation with the Human Rights Tulip Award, recognising our work in amplifying movements and courageously pushing for justice in Thailand and Laos. 🌷

We will keep building bridges of solidarity strong enough to carry justice forward. ✊
