Our session centred on the urgent need for feminist, Indigenous, and frontline leadership from Asia in shaping the proposed UN Treaty on Business and Human Rights.

As international human rights lawyer and our Founder Emilie Palamy Pradichit stressed:
“Asia cannot remain on the margins of this process. We cannot simply wait for this treaty to be shaped elsewhere and then ask whether it responds to our realities.”
A binding treaty must have teeth. Ahead of negotiations in Geneva on 12-16 October 2026, Asia’s communities and movements must have the resources, access, and power to resist corporate interference and defend strong protections. Those who bear the harm must shape what becomes binding.
