On our final day, we turned to another avenue for holding the Thai government accountable: Thailand’s review under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) by the UN Human Rights Committee. 🇺🇳

Over fifty human rights defenders began drafting community-led shadow reports to influence Thailand’s upcoming List of Issues Prior to Reporting (LOIPR). The goal is to ensure that the questions UN experts ask Thailand reflect the realities and priorities of communities on the ground.
