A truly feminist Crimes Against Humanity Treaty must do more than name violence. It must change who gets to shape justice. ⚖️

At Women Deliver 2026, our Founder and Executive Director, Emilie Palamy Pradichit powerfully moderated the discussion, “Building the Vision: Feminist Pathways to a Crimes Against Humanity Treaty”.

Emilie Palamy grounded the room in what is at stake: “This could become the first opportunity to challenge and confront colonialism within international criminal law. If feminist and Global Majority movements do not shape this treaty, others will shape it without us.” 🔥

Some of our biggest takeaways from this fierce feminist lineup:

  • Noor Azizah from the Rohingya Maìyafuìnor Collaborative Network made clear that when survivors share evidence and no action follows, that too becomes another layer of violence.

  • Azadah Raz Mohammad from the End Gender Apartheid Campaign asserted that impacted communities cannot be left behind through symbolic representation alone.

  • Tamika Thumbiran from the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria shared how meaningful engagement means shifting power to those closest to harm to help shape the law itself.

  • Juliana Laguna Trujillo from Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice reminded us that feminist coalitions have changed international law before, and we can do so again.

Here’s to decolonizing international law, building feminist power across borders, and pushing far beyond its colonial limits! ✊

The fantastic #WD2026 session was organized by:

  • Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice

  • Women Human Rights Defenders International Coalition

  • Manushya Foundation

  • End Gender Apartheid Campaign

  • Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria

  • Global Justice Center
