⚖️ On 29 August 2025, Thai courts sentenced student activist 𝘽𝙖𝙞 𝙋𝙤𝙧 (ณัฐนิช) to 4 years in prison — just for sharing two Facebook posts from ThaluWang about taxpayer money and the monarchy.
➡️ She was prosecuted under Section 112 (Lèse-Majesté) and the Computer Crimes Act (CCA) — a double-edged sword used to silence dissent. ➡️ 2 shares. 4 years. No freedom. ➡️ Bai Por is now out on bail pending appeal — but still living under the threat of prison.
#𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗗𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 ❌ This is what dictatorship looks like in the digital age: 🔴 Young women are criminalized for speaking truth. 🔴 Section 112 and the CCA are weaponized to crush democracy. 🔴 The internet becomes a prison, where “sharing” is treated as a crime.
✊ As decolonial intersectional feminists, we denounce this assault on free expression and stand in solidarity with Bai Por and all activists unjustly prosecuted under Section 112 and the CCA.
🖤 Democracy cannot survive when truth is censored. 🖤 Justice cannot exist when young voices are silenced. 🖤 Freedom cannot live under fear.
📢 We call on the world to monitor #𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘀𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗜𝗻𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 and demand an end to Section 112 and the Computer Crimes Act.
