#WorldRefugeeDay 🫂 June 20 is World Refugee Day — a moment for the world to pause and truly listen to the voices of those forced to flee their homeland.

This year, we use this platform to uplift the voices of Lao political refugees, and to recount the stories of activists and exiles who faced unimaginable consequences simply for speaking out — threats, imprisonment, enforced disappearances, and assassinations.

These injustices happen not only inside Laos, but across borders — the result of transnational repression.
