🇺🇳ใน #วันยุติความยากจนสากล นี้ เรามาร่วมส่องถึงประเด็นปัญหาความยากจนในประเทศไทย เพราะในปัจจุบันคนไทยจำนวนมากยังคงประสบปัญหาดังกล่าวและอัตราความยากจนของไทยก็ยังคงเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง
🚨แม้ว่าอัตราความยากจนของประเทศไทยจะลดลงถึง 65% เมื่อปี 2531 แต่สภาพความเป็นอยู่ที่ยากจนยังคงเป็นปัญหาเร่งด่วนในประเทศ และอัตราความยากจนยังคงผันผวนและกำลังเพิ่มขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ ในปัจจุบัน
👉🏼ความไม่เท่าเทียมกันระหว่างพื้นที่ชนบทและตัวเมืองเป็นหนึ่งในสาเหตุหลักของความยากจนในประเทศไทย ประชากรภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของประเทศไทยหรือที่เรียกว่า “คนอีสาน” ได้รับการศึกษาที่มีคุณภาพน้อยอีกทั้งยังด้อยโอกาสทางเศรษฐกิจมากเป็นพิเศษเมื่อเทียบกับส่วนอื่น ๆ ของประเทศ
🆘ความเหลื่อมล้ำมีอยู่ในหลายภาคส่วนของประเทศ และที่เด่นชัดที่สุดก็คือภาคการศึกษา มีเด็กไทยจำนวนมากขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ ต้องหลุดจากระบบการศึกษาไป
📣รัฐบาลไทยต้องกระจายความมั่งคั่งอย่างยุติธรรมและตรงเป้าหมาย และปฏิรูประบบการศึกษาเพื่อขจัดความยากจนอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ การกระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจต้องไม่มุ่งทำกำไรให้แก่ปรสิตเพียง 1% ของประชากรไทย!

🚨 Though Thailand’s poverty rate has decreased by 65% since 1988, impoverished living conditions are still a pressing issue in the country. The poverty rate fluctuates, and currently, it is on an uprise.
👉🏼 Inequality between the rural and urban regions is one of the major causes of poverty in Thailand. Thailand's Northeastern population, also known as “Khon Isaan”, is especially much less educated and more economically disadvantaged than in other parts of the country.
🆘 Inequality exists among various sectors, the most prominent is education. More and more Thai children have found themselves locked out of the education system.
📣We call on the Thai government to ensure a fair & targeted distribution of wealth and reform the education system to effectively eliminate poverty. Boosting the economy must not only profit the 1% of the population!
