It is time to abolish 112!

(English below) #WhatsHappeningInThailand 🚨ผู้ชุมนุมกว่าหลายร้อยเข้าร่วมการชุมนุมที่สี่แยกราชประสงค์อีกครั้งในวันอาทิตย์ที่ 12 ธันวาคมที่ผ่านมา(12.12) เพื่อเรียกร้องให้ #ยกเลิก112 กฏหมายอันล้าหลังที่กดทับเสรีภาพทางการแสดงออกของประชาชนชาวไทยมาหลายชั่วอายุคน!

⚠️ถึงเวลาแล้วที่รัฐบาลไทยจะต้องเริ่มฟังเสียงของประชาชน! เป็นเวลากว่า 1 ปีที่กลุ่มผู้สนับสนุนประชาธิปไตยใช้สิทธิเสรีภาพตามกฏหมายเพื่อชุมนุมโดยสงบและส่งเสียงเรียกร้องขอประชาธิบไตยที่แท้จริง แต่รัฐบาลไทยกลับไม่ยอมรับฟังและมักตอบโต้ผู้ชุมนุมเหล่านี้ด้วยความรุนแรง!

📍 ประชาคมโลกเองก็ร่วมสนับสนุนข้อเรียกร้องของผู้ชุมนุมและขอให้รัฐบาลเคารพความต้องการประชาชนด้วยเช่นกัน เช่น ระหว่างกระบวนการทบทวนสถานการณ์สิทธิมนุษยชนของประเทศไทย ณ สหประชาชาติ (UPR) เมื่อเดือนพย.ที่ผ่านมา รัฐบาลไทยได้รับข้อแนะนำ(Recommendations) กว่า 12 ข้อจากรัฐสมาชิกที่กดดันให้รัฐบาลไทยยกเลิกกฏหมายที่เป็นภัยต่อสิทธิเสรีภาพของประชาชนอย่าง มาตรา 112 แม้รัฐบาลพลเอกฯประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชาจะคงปฏิเสธไม่ยอมฟังเสียงของประชาชน แต่อย่าลืม… ว่าทั่วโลกจับตามองท่านอยู่!

#WhatsHappeningInThailand 🚨 Protesters have again filled the streets of Ratchaprasong Intersection in Bangkok on 12 December (12.12) to voice their desire for a true #democracy and to #Abolish112! They want the end to the draconian lèse majesté law that has suppressed the freedom of expression of the Thai people for generations!

⚠️ It is time for the Thai government to listen to the voices of the people! Since 2020, pro-democracy protesters have exercised their rights to freedom of expression and of assembly through countless peaceful demonstrations, but the Thai government has done nothing but suppressing the people’s legitimate voices with forces and violence.

📍 The international community also joined the force, calling on Thailand to respect the voices of the people. During the UPR Review last month, the Thai government received 12 recommendations on the abolition of Section 112, which threatens the rights and liberties of the Thai people. As Thailand is stepping closer to absolute monarchy, remember: the world is watching!
