🚨On 28 September, we marked the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 — a reminder that access to truth is a right, not a privilege.

Our 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 “𝑫𝒂𝒘𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑫𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑: 𝑾𝒆𝒂𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒛𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒂𝒘 𝑨𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝑶𝒏𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑺𝒑𝒆𝒆𝒄𝒉 𝒊𝒏 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝑨𝒔𝒊𝒂” shows that while the digital space is celebrated as a place of freedom, in reality it is increasingly hijacked by authoritarian regimes. They weaponize laws to criminalize dissent, silence marginalized voices, and restrict our right to information.

💡 But 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 To break free from this digital dictatorship, we must:👉 Educate ourselves and our communities👉 Center intersectional perspectives that uplift marginalized Global Majority voices👉 Resist censorship and authoritarian control👉 Fearlessly share our truths
