🚨 Peaceful Protest to #SaveBangkloi and Indigenous Land MUST NOT be a crime!

#WhatsHappeningInThailand 🚨จำการประท้วงเพื่อ #Saveบางกลอย โดยพีมูฟที่หน้าสำนักงานใหญ่ของสหประชาชาติในกรุงเทพกันได้ไหม?
⚠️สมาชิก #ภาคีSaveบางกลอย 11 คน รวมถึงเยาวชนหญิงอายุ 17 ปีที่เป็นสมาชิกกลุ่ม #บางกลอยคืนถิ่น ล้วนได้รับหมายเรียกจากสน.นางเลิ้ง จากการเดินขบวนประท้วงตั้งแต่หน้าสหประชาชาติไปจนถึงทำเนียบรัฐบาลในวันที่ 20 มกราคม 2565
❌ ข้อหาของพวกเขาน่ะหรือ? “ร่วมกันฝ่าฝืนพระราชกำหนดการบริหาราชการในสถานการณ์ฉุกเฉินฯ” จากการเคลื่อนไหวเพื่อที่จะปกป้อง ‘ผืนดินบรรพบุรุษ’ ที่ตั้งอยู่กลางผืนป่าแก่งกระจาน!
🗣มูลนิธิมนุษยะขอประณามการคุกคามทางกฎหมายและการละเมิดสิทธิมนุษยชนของชนพื้นเมือง รัฐบาลไทย “ต้องหยุด” ที่จะใช้พรบ.ฉุกเฉินฯเพื่อปราบปรามผู้ชุมนุมอย่างสงบและปฏิบัติต่อชนพื้นเมืองดุจอาชญากร ในทางกลับกัน รัฐบาลไทยต้องปฏิบัติตามพันธกรณีสิทธิมนุษยชนระหว่างประเทศและต้องเคารพสิทธิของชนเผ่าพื้นเมืองในการชุมนุมโดยสงบซึ่งได้รับการคุ้มครองภายใต้มาตราที่ 21 ของกติการะหว่างประเทศว่าด้วยสิทธิพลเมืองและสิทธิทางการเมืองที่มีผลบังคับใช้กับรัฐบาลไทย!
🍀ชนเผ่าพื้นเมืองก็คือคนเช่นเดียวกัน พวกเขาคือผู้ปกป้องผืนป่า ไม่ได้ด้อยค่าไปกว่านั้น!

#WhatsHappeningInThailand 🚨 Remember P-Move Protest in front of the UN Headquarters in Bangkok to #SaveBangKloi?
⚠️ 11 members of the Save Bangkloi Coalition -including a 17-year-old female member of the #Indigenous #Karen community - have received a summons from Nang Loeng Police Station for their protest in front of the UN before marching to the Government House on 20 January 2022.
❌ Their charges? Violations of the Emergency Decree for joining protests to protect the indigenous land in the Kaeng Krachan forest!
🗣 Manushya Foundation strongly condemns this judicial harassment and human rights violation against indigenous peoples. The Thai government MUST STOP using the Emergency Decree to crackdown on peaceful protesters and treat indigenous peoples as criminals. Instead, the Thai government must comply with its international human rights obligations and must respect #IndigenousPeoples right to peacefully assembly guaranteed under Article 21 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), ratified by the Thai government!
🍀 Indigenous peoples are Equal Human Beings who are Guardians of the Forest, nothing less!
