🏳️‍🌈 เดือนแห่งการรณรงค์ สร้างความตระหนักรู้ และการเรียนรู้ แต่ยังเป็นเดือนที่เต็มไปด้วยความสนุกสนานและการเฉลิมฉลองความหลากหลาย เอกลักษณ์ ความอ่อนโยนต่อกัน และความเข้าใจในความแตกต่าง และเพื่อเริ่มต้นเดือนนี้ เราได้ขอให้คุณ "ต้น" ศิริศักดิ์ ไชยเทศ สมาชิกกรรมการบริหารของมูลนิธิมานุษยะ นักกิจกรรมอิสระด้านสิทธิความหลากหลายทางเพศ และผู้ต่อสู้เพื่อสิทธิของพนักงานบริการ ส่งข้อความที่อยากให้ทุกคนตระหนักถึงกันในตลอดเดือนนี้และในทุกวัน นี่คือสิ่งที่คุณต้นได้กล่าวไว้:


“สังคมยังเข้าใจผิดว่า ‘เมืองไทยเป็นสวรรค์ของ LGBTIQ+’ แต่ความจริงไทยก็ยังไม่มีกฎหมายรองรับอัตลักษณ์ทางเพศของเพศหลากหลาย ทำให้ไม่ได้รับสิทธิขั้นพื้นฐานหลาย ๆ อย่าง เช่น สิทธิในการสร้างครอบครัว #สมรสเท่าเทียม และทำให้ปัญหาการคุกคามและการทำร้ายร่างกายอันเกิดจากเหตุแห่งความเกลียดชัง LGBTIQ+ ยังคงมีอยู่เนื่องจากสังคมขาดความเคารพและเข้าใจในความหลากหลายทั้งในระดับกฎหมายและประชาชนด้วยกันเอง”


“คนที่มีความหลากหลายทางเพศไม่ต้องการอะไรที่นอกเหนือจากคนอื่น แค่ต้องการเรียกร้องในสิ่งที่เราควรจะได้อยู่แล้วในฐานะมนุษย์”

✊🏼 มูลนิธิมานุษยะจะขอยืนหยัดเคียงข้างชุมชน LGBTIQ+ เสมอ และเราได้สนับสนุนสิทธิของกลุ่ม LGBTIQ+ อย่างไม่เหน็ดเหนื่อยตลอดมา ทั้งในประเทศไทยและต่างประเทศ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการเข้าถึงการรักษาพยาบาลอย่างเท่าเทียมหรือสิทธิเท่าเทียมในการแต่งงาน ดูเอกสารของเราและเรียนรู้เพิ่มเติมเกี่ยวกับปัญหาที่กลุ่ม LGBTIQ+ ต้องเผชิญได้ที่ด้านล่างนี้ ⤵️

 

🏳️‍🌈 A month of advocacy, awareness-raising, and learning but also a month full of fun and celebration of diversity, authenticity, kindness, and understanding! To kick-off, we asked our amazing Board Member, LGBTIQ+ pro-democracy activist and sex worker rights defender Sirisak "Ton" Chaited for a message that should be shared for everyone to hear. Here's what he said!👇🏼


"Society thinks that Thailand is an 'LGBTIQ+ Paradise', but the truth is, Thailand still lacks legal gender recognition of LGBTIQ+ people. Consequently, LGBTIQ+ people can't enjoy their basic human rights in many aspects, the right to #MarriageEquality and family establishment, for example. Gender-based harassment and hate crimes against LGBTIQ+ people are also common in the country because there's still a lack of respect and understanding of diversity and inclusion at both the legal and public levels."


"The LGBTIQ+ community never asked for special treatment. All we want is to be treated as Equal Human Beings as we deserve."
