⌛️Why is negative self-talk so damaging and how do we overcome it? 🔦


💡Have you ever reflected on yourself and noticed any of these following signs?

  • Always comparing yourself to others;

  • Underestimating and doubting your abilities;

  • Never feeling satisfied with your life or what you’ve achieved;

  • Finding it hard to forgive yourself for past mistakes and;

  • Never trust yourself to explore new challenges

🚩 If you are experiencing any of these feelings, you might be developing what is called negative self-talk behavior.


🪫 Negative self-talk can be more harmful than you expected, as it does not only contribute to significant stress and other mental health problems, but it also could also limit your ability to reach your full potential.


💫 Here are some ways to help you overcome negative self-talk:

  • Allow yourself to fall and learn lessons along the journey to achieving your goal! 🙌🏻

  • Appreciate every little step you take, and celebrate every tiny victory you achieved. It is important to take time to relish every aspect of your success! 🎊

  • Learn to accomplish your goals with your unique attributes -- everyone has his/her own way of success. It’s all about the mindset! 🗝

  • Accept and learn from your mistakes. It might take time to find the right recovery solution. Remember that you are always welcome to start over! 🔮
