International Day for Tolerance: We Are All Equal Human Beings #WeAreManushyan

♾️ On #InternationalDayForTolerance, we celebrate values of tolerance, equality, and mutual respect inherent to all people. #WeAreManushyan - Equal Human Beings! 🕊️

🚨 From racial discrimination to homophobic and transphobic acts of violence, to hate speech and stereotyping marginalized groups, Thailand, as one of the most unequal countries in the world, has a long way to go to achieve the ideals of this day. Instead of promoting the values of tolerance, equality, and mutual respect among the population, the Thai authorities fail to provide sufficient protection to groups facing discrimination and even intentionally spread stereotypes about them!

♾️ In Sanskrit, Manushya means 'Human Being'. Our organization was founded in 2017 with the vision to build a movement of Equal Human Beings ∞ #WeAreManushyan ∞ Since then, we have been tirelessly advocating for the rights of marginalized groups alongside local communities and educating the public on issues they face.

✊🏼 Help us in our mission to bring about a more just and equitable society in Thailand!

👉🏼 Be the change you want to see & lead by example: Show others it is unacceptable to discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation or any other category!

👉🏼 Talk to your family and friends about the beauty of accepting and celebrating diversity.

👉🏼 Join an advocacy or a rights group and contribute to efforts to bring about change, be it more equitable legislation or better education that teaches about the need for tolerance among all.

👉🏼 Follow updates on our website and social media for more information ahead of Thailand's most important human rights review focused on racial discrimination that is happening next week! #CERD #FightRacism
