#CEDAW ✊🏽 Manushya brings the voices of the Women Fighting Corporate Abuse and Climate Injustice in Thailand to the UN!🇺🇳
🇹🇭 On 19 June, during its 91st Session, the UN CEDAW Committee reviewed Thailand’s performance on women’s and girls’ rights.
We made sure the CEDAW Committee heard what the government did not say:
Rural, Indigenous, and ethnic women in Thailand are paying the highest price for unchecked business practices, land grabs, and climate inaction!
Together with our feminist friends and grassroots allies—including IWNT, Green World Network, Sab Wai villagers, Phichit villagers, Ka Boe Din villagers, Young Pride Club, EMPOWER Foundation, Women Workers for Justice Group, and the Migrant Working Group—we submitted our Joint CEDAW Shadow Report 2: “Our Land, Our Bodies, Our Rights: A Feminist Report on Discrimination, Corporate Abuse, and Climate Injustice in Thailand.”
Our report confronts Thailand’s failure to deliver corporate accountability and climate justice, especially for women affected by environmental degradation, loss of land, statelessness, lack of healthcare, and exploitative labor conditions.
As a women-led intersectional feminist organization, Manushya Foundation is proud to amplify the voices of women on the frontlines of corporate exploitation and climate collapse.
