#WSED2023: World Sustainable Energy Days



#JustTransition 🌱 This year, the World Sustainable Energy Days show the critical role of the energy transition in securing our clean energy future, and concrete policies, technologies, and markets to get us there!


👉The World Sustainable Energy Days consist of annual conferences held in Austria to promote sustainable energy sources and to showcase innovative sustainable energy technologies.


📢 This year, the motto of the WSED is “Energy Transition = Energy Security!”. The World, Southeast Asia, and Thailand must ensure that just energy transition policies are developed in line with the Paris agreement!


🤝 Manushya Foundation and other organizations, community, and CSO partners are united as the #WeAreJustTransition Movement. Together, we launched in November 2022 The People’s Declaration for a Just, Feminist, Green, and Inclusive Transition on Energy, Environment, Natural Resources, and Forests, in which we voice our key demands for a #JustTransition to the COP27 and APEC2022 international forum, the Thai government, and the private sector, to ensure our voices are heard in the current climate emergency!

🚨Manushya denounces Thailand’s false climate solutions around carbon sinks and its unsustainable energy production destroying the climate and negatively impacting the rights and livelihoods of local communities. We stand in solidarity with the affected communities and push for a Just, Feminist, Green, and Inclusive Transition!


✊ We urge the Thai government to switch to a just energy transition by building a powerful, Intersectional Feminist, Green and Just Transition Movement for alternative or clean energy solutions, led by climate activists comprising indigenous peoples, forest-dependent communities, and human rights groups!
