๐Ÿ“ฃ On 23-24 October, Manushya Foundation, in collaboration with Young Pride Foundation, the Peopleโ€™s Movement to Eliminate Discrimination (MovED), the LBT Wellbeing, and the Thai CSOs Coalition for the UPR, we brought together ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—บ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ถ๐˜๐˜† ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜๐˜€ ๐—ณ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—บ ๐—–๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—˜๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ป ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ.


The workshop aimed to strengthen their capacity to engage in ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑโ€™๐˜€ ๐˜‚๐—ฝ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ต ๐—จ๐—ป๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—ฃ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐—ฐ ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐˜„ (UPR), taking place in ๐—ก๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.


โžก๏ธ While Day 1 was focused on understanding the UPR process and the best engagement strategies, โžก๏ธDay 2 ๐˜„๐—ฎ๐˜€ ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น ๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜ ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป, as participants worked in groups to start developing their own community-led UPR IV thematic reports.


โœŠAs Decolonial Intersectional Feminists, we at Manushya Foundation are committed to powering and amplifying the voices of those working on the ground and making sure the world hears the truth directly from them. ๐—œ๐˜โ€™๐˜€ ๐˜๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—ต๐—ผ๐—น๐—ฑ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ถ ๐—š๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ป๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ป๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ for its international human rights obligations!
