📣 On 23-24 October, Manushya Foundation, in collaboration with Young Pride Foundation, the People’s Movement to Eliminate Discrimination (MovED), the LBT Wellbeing, and the Thai CSOs Coalition for the UPR, we brought together 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱.


The workshop aimed to strengthen their capacity to engage in 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱’𝘀 𝘂𝗽𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 (UPR), taking place in 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.


➡️ While Day 1 was focused on understanding the UPR process and the best engagement strategies, ➡️Day 2 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, as participants worked in groups to start developing their own community-led UPR IV thematic reports.


✊As Decolonial Intersectional Feminists, we at Manushya Foundation are committed to powering and amplifying the voices of those working on the ground and making sure the world hears the truth directly from them. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 for its international human rights obligations!


✨ Last week, we completed the first step of our nationwide 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗨𝗣𝗥 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 to ensure that 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱.
