Thanks to the support of Young Pride Foundation, the Peopleโ€™s Movement to Eliminate Discrimination (MovED), LBT Wellbeing, and the Thai CSOs Coalition for the UPR, we kicked off our second #UPR Capacity-Building Workshop yesterday in Hat Yai!

So many courageous, brilliant activists joined us from all over ๐—ฆ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ป ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ, including Indigenous leaders from Pattani and the Ranong province, raising their voices to speak truth to power.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ณ Yesterdayโ€™s sessions focused on understanding UN human rights mechanisms and learning how to effectively engage with the UPR.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ณ Today, participants are in the midst of drafting their thematic UPR submissions, bringing local realities and community struggles to the international stage.

As Thailand will undergo the next comprehensive review of its human rights record under the UPR in ๐—ก๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ฟย ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ, this workshop is a vital step in ensuring the world knows #WhatsHappeninginThailand.

โœŠ As Decolonial Intersectional Feminists, we at Manushya are grateful to all who are trusting us with your experiences and lived realities. Your courage and solidarity remind us every day why peopleโ€™s voices must always lead the fight for justice.ย
