#PeoplePower ✊🏽 #UPRThailand Yesterday, Manushya Foundation, together with Young Pride Club, มูฟดิ - MovED (the People’s Movement to Eliminate Discrimination), the LBT Wellbeing, and the Thai CSOs Coalition for the UPR, we kicked off our first 2025 #UPR capacity-building regional workshop, bringing together community leaders and activists from 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱.

🇺🇳 Participants are learning how to engage in the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), a unique UN human rights monitoring mechanism that allows grassroots and local communities to share their struggles and recommendations directly with diplomats representing UN Member States.

➡️ Yesterday’s sessions focused on understanding the UPR and how to best engage with it.

➡️ Today, participants will start developing their own community-led UPR IV thematic reports.

✊As Thailand will undergo the next comprehensive review of its human rights record under the UPR in 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, this workshop marks only the first step in our 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 to ensure that 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱.

✨Three more regional workshops will follow across Thailand from November 2025 to January 2026 so stay tuned to follow all the updates!

✨This is just the beginning!
