#Award: Emilie Pradichit awarded for Leader by Head and Heart under the 'Social Justice' category!
#Award 💫 We are so thrilled and happy to announce that Emilie Palamy Pradichit, the Founder & Executive Director of Manushya Foundation, received the Leader by Head and Heart Award under the 'Social Justice' category! Thank you The Asian Network & Ravindra Ngo ❤️
Emilie Palamy Pradichit: "No matter where you come from, no matter who you are, we have the right to dream big, and it starts with believing in ourselves, and by leading with our HEART. Together, let's believe in the 'Infinite Positive Power of Human Beings' to be our own agents of change and transform our lives."
📍 Growing up as a Lao refugee in the disenfranchised 'ghetto' suburbs of Paris, Emilie experienced first-hand negative impacts of injustice, racism, discrimination, exclusion, inequalities, and inequities. As a child, she always dreamed of bringing justice to her neighbors and communities. This had rooted her passion for fighting for equality, equity, and social justice.
🧡 By founding Manushya in 2017, Emilie followed her childhood dream and vision of reinforcing the power of local communities and people who are put in situations of marginalization to fight for their rights. She supports them in voicing their concerns and being their own agents of change. This way, they can be seen, heard, visible, at the center of decision-making on the issues that affect them, and be able to resist authoritarianism, fight injustice and push back on extreme capitalism that puts profit over people and the planet.
🏆 Receiving the "Leader by Head and Heart Award" under the 'Social Justice' category at the virtual Leaders by Head and Heart Award Ceremony 2022 hosted by The Asian Network, in partnership with the ERIA: Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia, it has confirmed Emilie's achievement in believing and powering the ‘Infinite Positive Power of Humans’ ✊🏼
