📢 The #𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐁𝐚𝐢𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐞 unfolded on 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟒, in 𝐓𝐚𝐤 𝐁𝐚𝐢 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭, 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝. Following the start of operations of the Chatree Gold Mine in 2001 and consequent harm suffered, Phichit women have played a crucial role in 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 . Phichit villagers 𝐬𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞𝐬 such as itchy skin, skin rashes, wounds, numbness, cancer and anxiety and 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐬 .
