At its core, the Immaculate Grid presents a 4x4 (or sometimes larger) grid of interconnected clues. Each row and column corresponds to a category or theme. Players are given a set of answers—often single words or short phrases—and must place each answer into the grid so that it fits the intersecting categories both across and down. Success requires matching answers to two constraints simultaneously, similar to a mini-crossword or a KenKen puzzle with words.
